West's Key253k23 k. Ceremonial Marriage in General.

253 Marriage Where the parties to a wedding ceremony have completed the exchange of vows but, before the minister pronounces them man and wife, the groom collapses and dies, the state of marriage has been created and the bride has the status of a widow and, as such, is entitled to letters of administration upon the groom's estate.
